This is a view of the gallery set up of the 2007 show – handbags. This show paired paintings of seven women, each portrayed in an individual style to reflect their personality, with the contents of their handbags. Women can be very protective of the contents of their bags, and though many of the bags contained similar items, the lists (and the size of that list!) were also very revealing of their life and concerns.
